Onion & Chilli Relish
This sweet, tangy and slightly chilli relish is a great addition to any burger or served on its own with cheese

Ingredients
- 2 Large Red Onions
- 100g Butter
- 2 whole jalapeno Chilli (your choice of chilli)
- 2 Tbsp Red wine Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- juice of 1 lime
- 3 tbspOlive Oil
- 1 tbsp Sweet Chilli
Instructions
Chop onions into thin strips, De seed chilli and shed finely Chop Garlic, and ginger.
In a large heavy base frypan over medium heat add oil and onions and gently fry for about 5 min, Add Chilli, Ginger, Garlic and butter .
gently fry until very soft (Around 30 – 40 min.
Add, sugar, sweet chilli vinegar and lime juice and simmer gently until caramelised.
Store in Sterilized jars
Notes : Chop garlic, ginger and chill smaller for a smoother finished relish
