Coffee Brasied Venison
Warm and Hearty stew with coffee after taste prefect for those cold winter camping trips

Ingredients
- Oil for frying
- 1 kg venison roast
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 Large Chili
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 Tbsp cumin seeds ground
- 1 Tbsp Ground juniper berries
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 1 Can Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 onions
- 1 Cup Mushrooms
- 1 cup coffee (filtered or espresso
- 3 cups Venison Stock (beef stock)
- 3 Tbsp butter
Instructions
Season the roast and fry in oil until browned on all sides, add onion, garlic and spices and cook for 3 – 5 min. Add coffee, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Brown sugar and stock and cook in oven or over low coals for 3 – 4 hours (until tender) For slow cooker use 1 cup of stock only
Stir in butter and thicken with flour if necessary
Serve with mashed potato and Greens
